SHARK TANK STILL HAS ROOM IN THE TANK FOR AMERICAN INNOVATIONS Houston Participants Gain Opportunity to Feature in 2026 Posidonia Event

Houston, September 24–  There is still some room in SHIPPINGInsight’s SHARK TANK being held as the closing event of its conference in Houston “Revitalizing the US Maritime Industry” being held October 15^th.  American new technology solutions (“CHUM”) are encouraged to submit their interest for consideration at this annual showcase for maritime startups and new technologies to gain exposure and interest for their innovations and to compete for the coveted SHIPPINGInsight Innovation Award. More than 80% of SHIPPINGInsight’s SHARK TANK participants have received trial or funding.

Contestants (“chum”) in the SHARK TANK will face a battery of industry experts and investors who will examine their thesis, evaluate their value proposition, and decide whether to “invest” in their concepts.  The winner will receive the prestigious 2025 SHIPPINGInsight Innovation Award and gain visibility across the global maritime innovation ecosystem. There will be a total of 6 participants selected from the pool of entries.

In addition to being featured in Houston in October, this year’s Chum will be offered the right of first refusal to showcase their innovations at Posidonia next year, the center of global shipping. SHIPPINGInsight is partnering with the US Embassy in Athens to promote US technology through the SHARK TANK, as well as an exhibition space in the US Pavilion.

“The maritime industry is entering a decisive period marked by the challenges of disruption, digitalization, workforce development, and global supply chain security, but our nation is lagging in innovation” stated SHIPPINGInsight Chief Evolution Officer, Carleen Lyden Walker. “SHIPPINGInsight provides a platform where these challenges are addressed through collaboration, innovation, and decisive action particularly in our SHARK TANK”.

The cost to participate is $2500, which includes admission for two people for the conference and the next day’s Leadership Roundtable, presentation during the SHARK TANK, and right of first refusal for Posidonia in 2026.
