Our SHIPPINGInsight theme this year has been the Decade of Collaboration. It was prompted by a call to action at last year’s SHIPPINGInsight to come together as a global community and work together to improve and enhance our industry. We can’t afford duplication, we have a loud public demanding instant change, and we need to harness the talents and capabilities of our industry to effect change quickly!

SHIPPINGInsight 2023 has a mandate to do that. While illuminating the issues of Decarbonization, Digitalization, the Human Factor, Risk, Commercial implications and Innovation, we are coming together to forge collaborations to move our industry forward towards success through collaboration.

Collaboration is an oft overused word which generates feelings of goodwill. This week’s collaboration between Bureau Veritas and OrbitMI takes that enviable trait and adds the business efficiency and effectiveness component. This is collaboration in its most productive form!
