SHIPPINGInsight Reveals 2021 Bridging the Decade Developing Agenda

Key Features Include Industry Discussion, Technical Talks and new tech SHARK TANK

August 24, 2021: Chief Evolution Officer, Carleen Lyden Walker, released the developing agenda for this year’s SHIPPINGInsight’s “Bridging the Decade” Fleet Optimization & Innovation Conference and Exhibit hybrid event being held in Stamford, Connecticut October 11-13 and virtually on the SHIPPINGInsight platform.  This year’s agenda features keynote addresses from industry figures such as Ley Hoon Quah, Chief Executive of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and Wah Kwong Shipping Holdings Limited’s Chairman, Sabrina Chao, who is also President of BIMCO.  Discussions around issues critical to industry today will be held during the “Decade of…” sessions, with decarbonization and digitalization in the forefront.  “Deep Dive” technical sessions will range from fleet management to fuel alternatives and safety at sea.  The event is capped by SHIPPINGInsight’s SHARK TANK where shipowners and investors receive pitches from new technologies and services with the winner receiving SHIPPINGInsight’s Innovation Award.

SHIPPINGInsight was created 10 years ago by two men aligned with technology in the maritime space.  They felt there was an opening for bringing shipowners together with technology.  While their relationships with the technology sector was strong, it was not until the past four years when SHIPPINGInsight began to appear on the radar of shipowners who saw the necessity of becoming more engaged with the technology/services side of the industry to better understand—and meet—the regulatory, efficiency, financial and corporate needs of the industry.  It has truly proven to be an opportunity for fleet managers to meet solution providers.

“While SHIPPINGInsight started out as an annual conference, today it is a platform with a suite of connective tissue for creating, and maintaining, the relationship between shipowners and solution providers” stated Walker.  “Today’s SHIPPINGInsight has, at its core, our conference and exhibition, but it is not a “one and done” event.  In addition to the promotion of the event and our partners leading up to the October conference, we execute a post-event marketing program designed to maintain, and grow, the awareness about the content and our partners who participated in the event.  For up to six months after the event, we repackage and issue the content so the discussion, and our partners, remain uppermost in the minds of the market.  Through this strategy alone, we were able to more than double the audience for our partners.”

Partners are joining SHIPPINGInsight weekly! Partnership opportunities are available!  Some of those already participating include Surveys & Forecasts, LLC and Total Marine Solutions as Platinum Partners, Cayman Ship Registry, HudsonAnalytix, Veritas Petroleum Services, Bahamas Maritime Authority and Moran Shipping Agencies, LLC as Gold Partners and DNV, FuelTrust, GTT and P Ship Systems as Silver Partners.
