STAMFORD, Conn., June 24, 2019 – Registration for the 8th annual SHIPPINGInsight Fleet Optimization and Innovation Conference & Exhibition – North America’s premier maritime technology event – is now open. Topical discussions on finalization of preparations for 2020, enforcement of the new regulation, preparing for 2023 and the movement towards decarbonization, impact of the Poseidon Principles on shipping, cybersecurity preparation for 2021, and the risks/rewards of digitalization are some of the issues being covered. There will also be a “Shark Tank” featuring the latest startups in maritime.
“There is a sense of urgency in the industry today to meet the many regulatory, and societal, demands while maintaining profitability” observed SHIPPINGInsight’s Chief Evolution Officer Carleen Lyden Walker. “We need to change the paradigm of shipping and accelerate change to meet these demands. It is a question of survival for companies providing the invaluable service of transporting goods, energy and people.”
SHIPPINGInsight will be held October 15-17th at the Stamford Hilton. Preceding the afternoon launch on October 15th will be two private label seminars. Partnerships for the event are available by contacting David Weidner. To attend the conference, go to SHIPPINGInsight registration.
“Last year’s SHIPPINGInsight conference was a tremendous success, with 97% of the delegates rating it useful and 96% referencing the value of the event” stated Walker. “Our goal is to exceed those satisfaction levels in 2019!”
Originally established in 2012, the SHIPPINGInsight platform focuses on fleet optimization and innovation with an annual event which acts as a forum for shipowners and solution providers to exchange ideas and discuss challenges in facing the transformation of the industry. More than 250 delegates from 17 countries attended the 2018 event, including 43 shipping company executives. For more information, please visit www.shippinginsight.com.
