Arundo Analytics Joins SHIPPINGInsight 2018 as Presenting Partner
Leading Enterprise Software Company Will Work Closely with Conference Organizers to Shape Critical Discussions on Digitalization and Big Data for Shipping Companies
STAMFORD, Conn. — Aug. 22, 2018 — SHIPPINGInsight today announced a strategic partnership with Arundo Analytics for the 2018 Fleet Optimization and Innovation Conference and Exhibition.
Founded in 2015, Arundo is a software company enabling advanced analytics in heavy industry. The company’s proprietary software for asset-intensive industries like shipping enables edge-state streaming and analytics, rapid cloud deployment of machine learning applications and fleet-wide management of numerous applications.
“One of the signature features of SHIPPINGInsight is how the application of forward-leaning technologies contribute to not only optimizing operations but also creating value for the enterprise,” stated SHIPPINGInsight’s Chief Evolution Officer Carleen Lyden Walker. “Having Arundo as our presenting partner underscores the key role of data in the maritime industry today and into the future.”
“The maritime industry, which accounts for 80 percent of global trade volume, is just beginning its digital transformation,” said Stuart Morstead, Arundo co-founder and Chief Operating Officer. “We see SHIPPINGInsight as an industry-leading forum for bringing together shipping companies and other stakeholders to explore the opportunities and challenges for the coming data revolution. Increasingly, smart ships will use intelligent software to analyze voyage data, equipment data and network structures to optimize overall operational performance for shipowners, partners and customers. We look forward to meeting with shipping companies and technology suppliers at SHIPPINGInsight to help manage that transformation.”
Morstead will deliver opening remarks at the conference.
Earlier this year, Arundo signed an agreement to provide streaming data analytics and machine learning applications for the DNV GL Veracity platform, enabling owners and operators of ships and floating installations to deploy and manage enterprise-scale machine learning applications and integrate advanced analytics into business decision systems and processes.
Now in its seventh year, the SHIPPINGInsight Fleet Optimization and Innovation Conference and Exhibition will take place at the Hilton Hotel in Stamford, Connecticut, October 16-18. Attendees are encouraged to register soon using the online portal to take advantage of early-bird discounts, and to book rooms at the Hilton’s special discounted rate.
