Online Nominations Now Being Accepted for 2018 SHIPPINGInsight Awards
STAMFORD, Conn. – June 21, 2018 – Nominations are now being accepted for the 2018 SHIPPINGInsight Award, to be presented at an Awards luncheon on the second day of the seventh SHIPPINGInsight Fleet Optimization Conference & Exhibition, Oct. 16-18, in Stamford, Connecticut.
The award is presented annually to a shipping company and its technology partner(s) for the successful implementation of an innovative technology or initiative that advances the state of the art in ship and fleet optimization and innovation.
“The presentation of the SHIPPINGInsight Award is a long-standing tradition of the conference,” said Carleen Lyden Walker, SHIPPINGInsight Chief Evolution Officer. “It’s an opportunity to recognize the innovators who are changing the face of the shipping industry with creative new technologies.”
Entry forms may be downloaded at www.shippinginsight.com. Nominations should be in the form of a case study describing the project and quantifiable results. A panel of independent judges will review nominations and select the winner(s), who receive a binnacled captain’s clock in a polished wooden case with an engraved plaque, along with a framed certificate.
Recipients of the 2017 SHIPPINGInsight Award were ShipNet and Maersk Tanker for their collaborative development of an intuitive, tablet-based user interface, connecting seafarers with the ship’s computer.
Award nominations must be submitted no later than August 16, 2018 September 14, 2018.
The 2018 SHIPPINGInsight Fleet Optimization Conference & Exhibition will take place at the newly renovated Stamford Hilton. This year’s event will feature a new format, top-level content providers and a combination of plenary and breakout sessions to foster more involvement, open discussion and interaction between shipping companies and solution providers.
